I am writing this review after using it for months, and I must say, Bluetti EB150 is a very high-capacity off-grid camping and backup power station equipped with a very high-quality lithium-ion battery.
Since 2009, MAXOAK is known for producing high-quality devices with powerful battery cells, durable construction, and reliable performance. EB150 is no different.
Under the $1000 price tag, the buyer gets a whopping 1500Wh battery capacity, and 1000 watts rated power. This unit can go beyond 1000 watts, I will show results later in this review.
This thing is equipped with one of the better MPPT charge controllers available in the market. It is super-efficient.

Design of MAXOAK Bluetti EB150:
Bluetti EB150 is built like a small PC tower or like a suitcase with a simple handle on the top. There are no loose ends, it is very rugged and durable in construction. The device is covered in an aluminum alloy case.
It weighs only 17.2kg, it is compact and portable with large rubber feet to prevent slippage.
All the outlets and push buttons are on the front control panel with an LCD that tells the remaining power and battery status. The LCDs have a lot of information about the input and output power. All of your concerns will be answered through the LCD.

How Do You Charge a Bluetti EB150?
EB150 comes with two charging options. Either plug it into a wall or use solar panels to charge it.
It kinda sucks that it has only two charging options because I always charge my power stations while I drive.
I am currently using it in my RV and as a backup power source in my home so wall and solar charging options are working for me for now.
So the first when I got my hands on this little beast, I tested both charging methods and took some results. Now after 6 months, I am have again tested both charging methods and the results are:
Solar Charging:
Bluetti EB150 can take up to 500W of solar input which is massive compared to 160W of AC adapter charging.
- The first time I took the solar charging test, the results were 4.4 hours at 327 watts of solar input.
- The second time I took the solar charging test, the results were 3.1 hours at 489 watts of solar input.
- Now after 6 months, I again took a solar charging test, and the results were 3.2 hours at 479 watts of solar input.
The LCD is super accurate. It shows the same reading as my watt meter shows.
Normally I don’t take notice about how many hours my power stations are taking to charge because I got a lot of them. I always have one of two available with a full charge.

AC Adapter Wall Charging:
From the wall outlet using a 160W AC adapter, you are looking at about 9 hours to fully charge this unit that is why I avoid using an AC adapter unless there are clouds outside.

What Is The Performance of Bluetti EB150?
The thing I love about this MAXOAK Bluetti EB150 is that produces pure sine wave power with 90% efficiency. This is excellent.
This thing is loaded with different AC and DC outlets which is much needed for outdoorsmen and campers like me to power different batteries, cellphones, lights, coffee makers, and a few other essentials at the same time.
EB150 is equipped with a 1500Wh battery which means a 500W device will run for 3 hours in theory, but there are always some power losses.
The main selling point for me is the battery quality and inverter efficiency.
A quality 1500Wh battery should run a 150W device for a little less than 10 hours and Bluetti EB150 steps up like a man.
The last time I was camping, I had 520 watts of load connected to the power station and it ran for 2.6 hours without recharging.
Unlike Bluetti AC200P’s BMS which consumes about 25% of the charge overnight even under low load, EB150 has a super-efficient BMS which is why most campers prefer EB150 over AC200P.
Goal Zero Yeti 1500X is the closest competitor of EB150 but it costs almost double and it is based on older lithium-ion battery composition which results in a short number of charge cycles. Goal Zero has a better discharge rate though.
Jackery Explorer 1500 is another competitor rated at 1534Wh capacity. I would say explorer 1500 is a bit lighter and compact option for campers. Both have similar inverter efficiency and discharge rate.
Load Test:
Before conducting the load test, I tested the efficiency of the inverter.
I put a 1000-watt load on the inverter and it lasted for 3 minutes. 1050 to 1100 input, and 1005 output. Close to 95% inverter efficiency.
At 900 watts, the power station lasted for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
After calculating the input and output power, the losses, and the final efficiency of the inverter were 95.1% which is insane.
For the load test, I managed to secure 1010 watts which is 10 watts more than the rated power. It passed the load test.
Should I Buy a MAXOAK Bluetti EB150?
If you need a 1000-watt noiseless, clean, and efficient power solution for outdoor or camping, then MAXOAK Bluetti EB150 is your guy. It has a 95% efficient inverter, a very powerful battery composition, low discharge rate, and it is loaded with useful outlets. This power station has a 1500Wh capacity and it charges super fast from 500W solar input.
I 100% recommend this product to outdoorsmen.
