Delta Pro is nothing short of amazing. It is not only the most powerful, durable, and futuristic, but is one of the most versatile power stations money can buy.
I am writing this EcoFlow Delta Pro review after using this unit for 11 months and 15 days. I bought it last year when I saw the hype around it.
I wanted to review it early but I ended up switching 70% of my cabin’s energy need on 3 of these EcoFlow Delta Pros so I never had the time to review it.
This solar generator is not only made for charging small appliances like cellphones, laptops, cameras, coffee makers, and microwaves in homes, RVs, and camping, but this is a true backup power source to power 240V appliances in your homes.
If one of these isn’t enough for you, you can connect another EcoFlow Delta Pro to double the output to a whopping 7200 watts.
I have powered two pressured washers off of this single EcoFlow Delta Pro. Now imagine how powerful two at a time will be.
I also got a remote control device with the package. It helped me to monitor battery stats, input power, and outgoing power on the remote control’s screen when I was in my RV and the power station along with one battery pack was in the back.
Ecoflow has updated their WIFI connection App to new heights. You download it using a QR code given in the user manual.
The APP shows everything like how much is going in or out, and how much power is going out from the 12V receptacles and individual USB chargers. Just play with the app, there are a ton of settings.
This unit is around 93.4% efficient which is unbelievable for a 3000+ watts power station. The most powerful stations I have used are below 88% efficient which is not bad at all, but anything above 90+ is considered elite.
Like its younger brother EcoFlow Delta max which also features X-BOOST technology that can power any device up to 4500 watts.
Design of Delta Pro Solar Generator
With a 3.6KWh capacity, I was expecting it to be above 110 pounds, but it weighs only 99 pounds which is OK. It has nice wheels and a retractable handle to carry it around.
The casing is made of hard plastic and measures 25 x 11.2 x 16.4 inches in dimensions. It is vertical like a tower PC. I was able to squeeze it in the back of the truck on my 2 days camping trip in the woods. It doesn’t much space, good overall.
There is an LCD screen control panel that shows a bunch of information including input and output power, outgoing power from 12V receptacles, charging status, battery status, and error codes. LCD has an ambient light detector to automatically adjust the lighting.
The Expansion Batteries of EcoFlow Delta Pro:
You connect two expansion batteries with Delta pro and both have the same LifePO4 battery chemistry.
It is super easy to connect the expansion battery to the power station. Compared to Bluetti cable which looks like a fancy toy, the quality Ecoflow cable is really good.
There are two plugs on the back of the power station. Connect the cable with Delta Pro and expansion battery. Now both are connected, you don’t have to set up anything.
Both batteries will charge up to 100% together, and if you connect a heavy load, both will discharge together.

How Do You Charge an EcoFlow Delta Pro?
The beauty of EcoFlow delta pro is that you don’t need charging bricks to charge this unit. A simple cord will do the job.
There are multiple ways to charge Delta pro.
1. Solar Charging:
This unit can accept a whopping 1600W of solar input. This is an actual solar system. If you connect two expansion batteries to it, you can easily go off-grid.
Using a 1600W solar system, delta pro, and two expansion batteries can be fully charged in just 6.7 hours.
All three will charge at the same time. If one battery is at 50% and the other two are at 40%, the one with the 40% will charge up to 50%, then all three will charge together.
2. AC Wall Charging:
Like other eco-flow models, Delta Pro also has X-Stream fast charging technology. Delta Pro can accept 1800W of AC input.
I took readings for the AC charging before this review.
- The first I charged it, it took 2.7 hours to charge from 0 to 100%
- The second time, it took 2.7 hours to charge from 0 to 100%
- The third time, it took 2.65 hours to charge from 0 to 100%
- The fourth time, it took 2.7 hours to charge from 0 to 100%.
Just like Ecoflow delta max, there is a switch at the back of the unit to slow the charging rate by 400W to avoid circuit breaker tripping.
3. Electrical Vehicle Charging:
There is an infinity AC connection below the communication ports. Aside from powering a 240V load, this port is used to charge this unit from the electric vehicle charging station.
Using Ecoflow’s quality adapter, I tested the EV charging. This power station can accept 3000W of AC input from the EV station, and I was getting about 2315 watts of input. My Delta pro was full in no time.

What is The Performance of EcoFlow Delta Pro?
I have been able to power daily appliances like a 5000 BTU AC (when needed), a mini-fridge, lights, a coffee maker, a microwave, a cellphone, a laptop, and camera batteries without any problem, but the real test is 240V applications.
You would need two Delta pros to power 240V applications. For that, you need to connect both power stations using double-voltage AC HUB. This hub can handle 7200 watts which is impressive.
I have run my good pump to test the 240V load. I also ran my electrical dryer which requires 5000 watts to operate. My delta pro ran everything that was under 7200 watts and required 240V like a champion.
With one Delta Pro and two battery expansions, you can power an entire cabin or a small house. In other words, you can truly go off-grid.
I own a cabin in the mountains. I have installed all the necessary appliances in it including a 1500W solar array.
I was able to charge my Delta Pro and two battery expansions and use them for a week without any issues. I was constantly drawing 8000 daily. This system was enough to cover my off-grid power needs.
The thing I don’t like about this Delta Pro is that you can’t charge your EV with the double-voltage hub which sucks. The cable that connects the power station with the battery expansion is short.
One of the main problems is the airflow vents located at the top. If you put expansion batteries close to it, the heat released from the solar generator will increase the temperature of the expansion batteries. It would’ve been nice if we could stack them.
There aren’t a lot of solar generators that can match the power output and reliability of Delta Pro. Zendure SuperBase Pro is its closest competitor with 0 to 80% in just 1 hour charging capability. Other than that, it is no way near as durable and powerful as Delta Pro.
Load Test of EcoFlow Delta Pro:
I have conducted several load tests since I bought it. I didn’t notice any hiccups at all.
- I was able to get 3621 running watts the first time I took the load test.
- The second time, 3610 running watts.
- The third time, 3615 running watts.
- The fourth time, 3603 running watts.
As you can see Delta Pro can provide as much power as advertised.
Should I Buy an EcoFlow Delta Pro Solar Generator?
If you are looking for something to go completely off-grid system, you should buy EcoFlow Delta Pro. It has 3600Wh, 3600 running watts, and 7200 surge watts capacity. You can connect two battery expansions with Delta pro to secure a whopping 10800W. It is loaded with AC/DC ports with multiple charging ports. This power station is made to either solve your daily life power needs or to be a reliable backup power solution.
